Dirndl donning beer maids and lederhosen laden dons will enjoy a smorgasbord of seasonal beer, tasty brats, Bavarian pretzels and live entertainment at World of Beer Tempe in celebration of WOBtoberfest on Saturday, October 12, from 4 p.m. – 2 a.m. WOBtoberfest will have something for everyone with outdoor and indoor entertainment, food and beer.

Celebrating with an awards ceremony held last Thursday, May 30, at the Hilton Chandler, SanTan Brewing Company was named Small Business of the Year by the Chandler Chamber of Commerce.

It’s no doubt that SanTan’s commitment to excellent service, brewing quality craft beer and supporting the Chandler economy with their ever expanding job opportunities and investments helped them to gain public support in earning this award.

“We are humbled to receive this award and honored to be a part of the growth of Chandler. With the support of the Chandler community, we look forward to even more success in the years to come,” said Anthony Canecchia, Owner and Head Brewer, SanTan Brewing Company.

Each year, the Chandler Chamber of Commerce calls upon the community to nominate local business owners, businesses, educators and individuals to be considered for this award. The nominees are screened by a committee and winners are selected. This is the first time that SanTan Brewing Company has been honored as Small Business of the Year in Chandler.

According to Terri Kimble, President and CEO of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce, SanTan Brewing received several nominations from community members for this award.

Chandler, AZ (August 15, 2013)—Belgian Monks are known for brewing much of the world’s best craft beer, and now SanTan Brewing Company is delivering a hybrid brew that marries the hoppy magic of a West Coast IPA with the traditional spice and fruitiness of a Belgian Wit beer in this fall seasonal, SuperMonk IPA.
12 oz cans of SuperMonk IPA will be available at valley craft beer retailers from Labor Day through the end of October.

SuperMonk IPA is a naturally hazy, Belgian Style IPA with notes of citrus and orange peel dominating the aroma. Upon first sip, hoppy bitterness dances with peppery clove notes and finishes with a light orange and fruity flavor. SuperMonk IPA is a very drinkable craft beer. It’s light on the palate and ideal for craft beer lovers and hopheads alike.

Made with a hybrid “super yeast”, the secret behind SuperMonk is a combination of Proprietary California Ale yeast and a Trappist Ale Yeast Blend with Cascade and loads of Columbus hops. During the fermentation, the Belgian strain came across slightly more dominant and thus the SuperMonk name was born!
