San Tan Brewing plans larger distribution site!

The SanTan Brewing Co. plans to open a significantly larger distribution facility in Chandler with an eye on expanding its brand, the company announced Tuesday.
The 35,000-square-foot facility at 495 E. Warner Road will serve as a warehouse and production center that will have the capacity to create more than 500,000 cases of beer a year.
“It is important for us to grow but also to keep our brewing and distribution in the city of Chandler,” Anthony Canecchia, SanTan owner and head brewer, said in a press release.

The first batch from the new 50 barrel brew house system is expected by May.
The company plans to invest $6 million in the new facility, which it estimates will bring 25 new jobs.
The craft brewery opened in 2007 and operates a brewery and restaurant in downtown Chandler, at 8 S. San Marcos Place, which recently underwent a $4 million addition.
When the distribution center is fully operational, the original brewery will be used to create small batches and specialty brews, said Jen Pruett with marketing firm HDE Agency.
SanTan Brewery has been a hometown success story since the day it opened, and I personally love to see their name and ‘brewed in Chandler, AZ’ on menus all over the state,” said Christine Mackay, director of economic development for Chandler.
“The expansion of their company is going to help take their business to the next level.”
SanTan Brewing’s beers include Devil’s Ale, HefeWeizen Wheat, Epicenter Amber Ale, HopShock IPA and seasonal brews.
